C. Devon Homes

I am a Senior Graphic Designer and Design Coordinator at C. Devon Homes. As part of my return to the team, we rebranded a logo that had been used for a very long time and was no longer representing the brand or attracting their target demographic.

C. Devon Homes is a small realty company run by a real estate broker. They cater to the Boston area, in some of the most expensive areas in the country! It was important that the logo we chose evoked old Boston and class, something timeless and luxurious, that looks like it could be used for 200 years.

The Design

We began with a monogram of the title of the business and attached that to the head of some crisscrossed skeleton keys. The branding colors are a preppy green and white.

This design was what we expanded on.

Various Iterations

We played with the colors, swapping them here and there to see what presentation looked the best and the most timeless. With the green background, these business cards really stand out but we weren't quite there yet!

The Final Logo

C. Devon Homes

The final logo was a combination of our discoveries with the first few iterations. The green background remained, but we opted for a darker green house with gold keys, reminiscent of a real key and conveying the luxury behind the brand.

Business cards were needed with the new logo, and this is a mockup of what those looked like. The green backdrop continues to the back, which keeps our design instantly recognizable and memorable.
